Notes: Primula vulgaris can be found throughout Great Britain but this species has much diminished in some areas due to agricultural practices and over-collecting. In the Netherlands Primrose is a species that is typical of the dunes near Haarlem. In this country it is on the Dutch Red List of vascular plants. In many countries it is a widely cultivated plant. It can hybridize with other Primroses.
